2023 ISSF World Shooting Championships

The ISSF World Shooting Championships are managed by the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF). This championship is held once every four years. 

The 2023 ISSF World Shooting Championships started on August 14 and will end on September 1. The event is being held in Baku, Azerbaijan. A total of 1249 athletes from 101 nations participated in the championships. The last medals for the various events were handed out on August 24, 2023. The athletes who performed extraordinarily in this championship will be selected to participate in the 2024 Summer Olympics. 

India participated in the 2023 ISSF World Shooting Championships and won 6 gold and 8 bronze medals. In total, India won 14 medals and stood second overall. China won the highest number of medals (15 gold, 7 silver and 6 bronze). The third place was secured by the United States with 8 medals (5 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze).
