69th National Film Awards 

The 69th National Film Awards took place in New Delhi at Vigyan Bhawan on October 17th. The winners were given their awards by the respectable president of India, Draupadi Murmu. 

Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon both won the Best Actress award, with Alia Bhatt’s performance in “Gangubai Kathiyawadi” and Kriti Sanon’s in “Mimi.” Allu Arjun became the first Telugu actor to win the Best Actor award for “Pushpa: The Rise.”

“Rocketry: The Nambi Effect,” directed by R. Madhavan, won the Best Feature Film award. “RRR” was given the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. Pankaj Tripathi won the Best Supporting Actor award for “Mimi.” 

The National Film Awards was started in 1954 and was known as the “State Awards.” The awards are now presented in three categories: Features, Non-Features, and Best Writing on Cinema.
