Aerial Pictures of Mars and Perseverance Rover

NASA’s Mars Ingenuity helicopter took a wonderful picture of Mars. The picture showed Mars having a beautiful blue sky. This was different from most of the pictures taken of Mars’ sky. Most pictures of Mars show it having a red sky. This happens because the dust particles present in the air absorb blue light. The sky only appears blue during sunrise or sunset. 

The picture also fascinated everyone because it captured the Perseverance Rover which was sent to Mars in 2020 to check if life exists on the planet. 

Both Perseverance and Ingenuity are a part of NASA’s Mars 2020 mission. The purpose of this mission is to learn more about the history of Mars and to check for life.
