Air Pollution increases in Delhi and other parts of India

Air Pollution increases in Delhi and other parts of India

The condition of the air in Delhi is very poor due to air pollution. The city is covered with smog (a harmful mix of smoke and fog). The air quality is also very bad in other Indian cities like Mumbai, Raipur etc.

Several steps are being taken by the Delhi government to reduce the number of cars and trucks on the road. Schools have been shut down till November 18. People are being asked to wear a mask while going out and not to burn crackers.

Even when the air quality in the states of West Bengal and Sikkim is much better, we can still take some important steps to reduce air pollution. By saving energy, using environment-friendly gadgets and planting more trees, we can make the living conditions better for all. It is important to check the level of air pollution before going out of the house.

Certain steps that can be taken by us to make sure we don’t get sick due to air pollution are:

  • Stay inside when the pollution level is high.
  • Use face masks when going outside
  • Keep the air inside your home fresh
  • Use machines that clean the air
  • Inform others about the bad effects of air pollution

Air pollution is a major issue that ends up affecting a huge number of the population. We must take steps to improve the air quality in our cities and at the same time, keep ourselves and our loved ones safe from the harmful effects of it.
