An application Named SAKHI Developed by ISRO

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) plans to launch India’s first-ever space mission where humans will be sent to outer space. It is named the Gaganyaan Space Mission. For this, a new application called SAKHI has been created.

SAKHI stands for Space-borne Assistant and Knowledge Hub for Crew Interaction. It will help astronauts do important tasks during their space journey.

SAKHI will help astronauts find important information, talk to each other, and stay connected with Earth. SAKHI will also check the astronauts’ health by measuring their blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen levels. This app will even remind them when to eat and drink.

With SAKHI, astronauts will be able to keep track of their space missions. In the app, they can note down texts, images and voice records that are important to the mission.

ISRO plans to send the Gaganyaan Space Mission in 2025. Currently, four astronauts are training for this mission. The final team for the Gaganyaan will be chosen from them.
