April Fool’s 2024

April Fool’s 2024

April Fool’s Day, celebrated on April 1st every year, is a day filled with laughter, jokes, and harmless pranks. People around the world come together to play tricks on each other, bringing joy and fun to their lives.

In 1582, France switched to the Gregorian calendar from the Julian calendar. According to the Julian calendar, the New Year was celebrated on the first day of April. In the new calendar, January 1st was made the beginning of a new year. However, many people were unaware of the change and continued celebrating April 1st as the New Year. Those who didn’t know about it were called “April fools.” This led to people celebrating this day.

April Fool’s Day is now celebrated globally. Friends, family members, and others join in the fun by playing light-hearted pranks on each other. Big companies often join in on pranking their local customers. On this day in 1957, the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), a news channel, aired a prank segment claiming that new trees were found growing spaghetti on them.

April Fool’s Day is light-natured and it reminds us of life’s simple joys. It is a day to share joy and create fond memories with loved ones through playful antics and good-natured humour, without hurting someone’s feelings.

Have a very fun April Fool’s Day!
