Arjun Wins Silver Medal at 5th Asian Youth Athletics Championships

The 5th Youth Asian Athletics Championships was held at the Uzbekistan Athletics Federation Stadium in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, from April 27 to 30. During this championship, many countries from across the world participated in the several sporting events that were organized. Only athletes between the ages of 14 and 17 participated in the Asian Youth Athletics Championships as it was an under 18 championship.

Arjun, a 16 year old student of class 12 from Modern Public School, Shalimar Bagh, made India proud when he won the silver medal in the 5th Youth Asian Athletics Championships in the boy’s Javelin Throw. This was not the first time he secured a silver medal in the Youth Asian Athletics Championships. In the Youth Asian Athletics Championship 2022 held in Kuwait, Arjun had won a silver medal in Javelin Throw. These two achievements have made Arjun the first athlete under 18 to win two silver medals back to back in the Youth Asian Championships.

Arjun’s performances in the under 18 Javelin Throw in the 5th Asian Youth Athletics Championships have earned him the first rank in Asia and fourth place in the world.
