Armed Forces Flag Day

Every year on December 7th, we celebrate Armed Forces Flag Day in India. On this day, we honour the brave soldiers who fought to protect our country. Also, this special day reminds us of families who lost loved ones on duty.  the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund. People are encouraged to actively participate by buying flags, cards, coupons, and other items. The money collected from this goes to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund (AFFDF). This fund helps the families of soldiers and those injured during service.

On August 28, 1949, the Indian Ministry of Defense declared December 7th as Armed Forces Flag Day to remember soldiers in the Army, Navy, and Air Force. This day gives every citizen of India a chance to show their appreciation to the armed forces for their bravery and courage.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to the brave men and women of the Army. On Armed Forces Flag Day, he left a special message on the social media platform named X to celebrate this day.
