Asian Games 2023

Every four years, athletes from different Asian countries come together to play sports in the Asian Games. The first Asian Games was held in 1951 in New Delhi, India. 

The Asian Games is an important sports event for countries in Asia. It is the second biggest sports event, after the Olympics. Different countries have hosted the games, including India, Japan, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Iran, South Korea, China, and Qatar. Japan has won the most number of medals (60). India has won the second-highest number of medals (51). 

The next Asian Games will be in Hangzhou, China, from September 23 to October 8, 2023. Athletes from India will join in and play different sports like badminton, chess, steeplechase, long jump, and even cricket. The Indian athletes team will be led by Neeraj Chopra.
