Astronauts Celebrate Christmas in Space

As we celebrated Christmas with our loved ones, astronauts also celebrated it in outer space! An astronaut is someone who travels to space. They go to space to learn new things about the Earth, the moon etc. While in space, they stay in a special aircraft called the International Space Station(ISS). 

Currently, there are seven astronauts present on the space station. Away from their real homes, they celebrated Christmas by wearing Christmas hats and decorating the Space Station with Christmas trees. Jasmin Moghbeli is one of the astronauts staying at the space station right now. She shared pictures of herself and her co-workers on the social media platform, Instagram. 

Moghbeli wrote how happy she is to celebrate the beautiful festival with her ‘space family’. This unique celebration is a reminder of how people find a way to take part in the simple joys of life.
