Australia Open Ends 2024

The Australian Open is a tennis competition that happens every year in Melbourne, Australia. This year, the 2024 Australian Open started on January 8th, and the last match was played yesterday, January 28th.

In tennis, there are two types of matches- singles and doubles. In singles, two players play against one another, out of which one of them wins. In a doubles match, two sets of two players play against one another and only one set can win. 

In the 2024 Australia Open, Aryna Sabalenka won the final match of Women’s single. The Men’s single was won by Jannik Sinner. 

Coming to the doubles matches, the duo of Rohan Bopanna and Matthew Ebden won the title in the male category. The duo of Hsieh Su-Wei and Elise Mertens won the female category in doubles. In the mixed doubles, a male player partnered with a female player to form a team. Hsieh Su-Wei partnered with Jan Zieliński to win the Mixed doubles title.
