Ayodhya Ram Mandir Inaugurated in Uttar Pradesh

On 22nd January 2024, the Ayodhya Ram Mandir in Uttar Pradesh was opened. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and many well-known celebrities were part of the inauguration ceremony. The city of Ayodhya celebrated this auspicious occasion by lightning earthen lamps or diyas and bursting crackers.

Lord Ram, also known as Ram Lalla, is a Hindu god we come across in the epic poem Ramayana. This temple is built on the birthplace of Lord Ram, Ayodhya, and is therefore also known as Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir.

The idol of Lord Ram is made out of black stone in the form of a five-year-old. The temple is built in the traditional Nagara style and it stands 161 feet above the ground. Architect Chandrakant Sompura was behind the design of this architectural marvel.

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir stands as a symbol of the rich heritage and culture of India. Many devotees from around the world have gathered to celebrate this special occasion. The temple will be open to the public from 23rd January 2024.
