Bharat Ratna Awarded to Five Eminent Indian Personalities in 2024

In 2024, the Government of India chose five great leaders for the Bharat Ratna Awards. The Bharat Ratna is an important award that is given to the people of India. It honours those who have done something great for our country. 

This year, PV Narasimha Rao, Chaudhary Charan Singh, MS Swaminathan, Karpoori Thakur and Lal Krishna Advani will be awarded the Bharat Ratna.  

Chaudhury Charan Singh was the fifth prime minister of India. PV Narasimha Rao was the 10th Indian Prime Minster. Lal Krishna Advani is an important political leader. All of them brought many positive changes to our country.

MS Swaminathan was named the”Father of the Green Revolution” in India. And great leader Karpoori Thakur used to be the chief minister of Bihar. 

This year, five people won the Bharat Ratna award, which is the highest number awarded in a single year. In 1999, four people were awarded the Bharat Ratna award, which was the highest till date.
