Asian Para Games 2023 Come to an End

The Asian Para Games 2023 took place in Hangzhou, China, from October 22 to October 28. India participated and ranked fifth among 144 nations, winning a total of 111 medals. These medals included 29 gold, 31 silver, and 51 bronze. China was the overall winner with 521 medals.

The Asian Para Games happens once every four years. This was the 4th edition. India sent its largest group of athletes ever, with 309 participants, including 196 men and 113 women. 

In the previous 2018 Games in Jakarta, India had only 188 athletes and won 72 medals, including 15 gold, 24 silver, and 33 bronze. 

This year marked India’s best performance in the history of the Asian Para Games.
