Laser Proves Successful in Changing Lightning Path

A  team of scientists have experimentally found that laser beams, when shot up into the sky, can change the path of lightning. This experiment was done at Santis Mountain in Switzerland. Lightning strikes can cause a lot of damage to humans and buildings. They can even lead to forest fires. To prevent this, scientists have tried to experiment with laser beams to change the lightning path.

When performed in the laboratory, laser beams could change the path of lightning. The scientists performed a similar experiment in real life and found that laser beams could direct lightning paths. The largest distance change was 50 meters.

More research is required to make laser beams a common lightning protection device.
