Christmas Day 2023

Christmas Day 2023

On 25th December every year, Christmas is celebrated all around the world. Christmas marks the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is believed to be the Son of God in Christianity. It is one of the most festive Christian holidays where people come together to celebrate it with their loved ones. People decorate their houses with ornaments, candles and Christmas trees.

The term Christmas means the “mass on Christ’s Day”. Before Christmas, Europeans used to celebrate light on the darkest day of the night of the Winter Solstice. With time, 25th December became associated with Christmas.

Christmas is associated with the plump, jolly man named Santa Claus or Father Christmas. He is portrayed as dressed in red and white, and he goes around leaving presents for the kids on Christmas Eve.

People all around the world celebrate this day of merriment with their loved ones by sharing meals and singing Christmas carols. Some popular Christmas Carols are ‘Silent Nights’ and ‘Little Drummer Boy’. Also, they go to Churches to offer prayers to Jesus Christ.

From Nutshell, we wish you and your family a Merry Christmas!
