Cricket World Cup 2023 Final: India vs Australia

The final match of the 2023 Cricket World Cup took place on 19 November at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The Australian Cricket team won the match and became the Cricket World Cup winner for the sixth time. 

Australia won the coin toss and chose to bowl first. India scored a total of 240 runs, with Virat Kohli scoring 54 and KL Rahul scoring 66. While bowling, players Jasprit Bumrah took two wickets, and Mohammad Siraj took the wicket of David Warner. Australia scored 241 runs by the 43rd over, winning the match against India. Travis Head, with 137 runs, became the only player to have scored more than a century in this match.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and multiple other celebrities were present at the stadium with a crowd of thousands of Indians. PM Modi and the Deputy Prime Minister of Australia, Richard Marles, came together to hand over the winner’s trophy to the Australian captain, Pat Cummins. Virat Kohli was announced as the Player of the 2023 World Cup, and the title of the Man of the Match was given to Travis Head.

The Indian Cricket team performed wonderfully in the 2023 World Cup Series by winning ten out of eleven matches in total. They won the hearts of millions of Indians and made the whole country proud with their outstanding performance.
