Cricket World Cup 2023 Final: India vs Australia

The final match of the 2023 Cricket World Cup took place on 19 November at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The match was won by the Australian Cricket team, making them the Cricket World Cup champions for the sixth time.

Australia won the coin toss and chose to bowl first. India scored a total of 240 runs, with both Virat Kohli (54) and KL Rahul (66) securing more than half-centuries. While bowling, players Jasprit Bumrah took two wickets, and Mohammad Siraj took the wicket of David Warner. Australia scored 241 runs by the 43rd over, winning the match against India. Travis Head, with 137 runs, became the only player to have scored more than a century in the pivotal match.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and multiple other dignitaries were present at the stadium with a crowd of thousands of Indians. PM Modi and the Deputy Prime Minister of Australia, Richard Marles, came together to hand over the winner’s trophy to the Australian captain, Pat Cummins. Virat Kohli was announced as the Player of the 2023 World Cup, whereas the title of the Man of the Match went to Travis Head.

With a total of ten victories in eleven matches, the Indian Cricket team won the hearts of millions of Indians. Despite falling short in the final, they demonstrated their skills and once again made India proud with their outstanding performance and sportsmanship.
