Delhi to Host G20 Summit

The 18th G20 summit will be held on September 9 and 10 in Delhi. G20 stands for the Group of Twenty. The summit will be attended by leaders of the 20 countries. This will be the last G20 summit of this year. At the end of the summit, a G20 Leaders’ Declaration will be adopted. In this declaration, every member nation’s duty will be mentioned.

The entire state is preparing for the summit. The important sites for the G20 summit in Delhi are regularly being visited by various state leaders like the Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, P K Mishra the Principal Secretary of Narendra Modi and Delhi Major Shelly Oberoi. All possible actions are being taken to ensure that the sites are properly cleaned before the summit.

The G20 theme for this year is “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”,  which is a Sanskrit text taken from the Maha Upanishad, meaning “One Earth, One Family One Future”.
