Durand Cup 2023 Results

The Durand Cup is a national football tournament that is organised annually in India. It was established in 1888 by Sir Henry Mortimer Durand. It is the oldest national football competition in Asia. Globally, the Durand Cup is the 5th oldest football tournament. 

This year the Durand Cup 2023 began on August 3 and ended on September 3. This was the 132nd edition of the tournament. There were 24 competing teams which were divided into 6 groups (Group A to Group F) comprising 4 teams each. 

The tournament had a total of 42 matches. They were played in Kokrajhar, Kolkata and Guwahati. The finals of the tournament were held on September 3, 2023, at Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata. East Bengal and Mohun Bagan played against each other in the finals. Mohun Bagan SG won the final match of the Durand Cup 2023 with a narrow 1-0 victory. With this win, Mohun Bagan SG now has 17 Durand Cup titles under its name. 

The Golden Glove Award was given to Vishal Kaith from Mohun Bagan SG. David Lalhlansanga from Mohammedan FC won the Golden Boot Award and Nandhakumar Sekar of East Bengal FC received the Golden Ball Award.
