Durand Cup 2023 Results

The Durand Cup is the oldest national football tournament in Asia. It is played every year in India. It was established in 1888 by Sir Henry Mortimer Durand. Globally, the Durand Cup is the 5th oldest football tournament. 

This year, the Durand Cup 2023 began on August 3 and ended on September 3. This was the 132nd edition of the tournament. There were 24 teams in total. The teams were divided into 6 groups (Group A to Group F) comprising 4 teams each. 

The tournament had a total of 42 matches. They were played in Kokrajhar, Kolkata and Guwahati. The finals of the tournament were held on September 3, 2023, at Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata. East Bengal and Mohun Bagan played against each other in the finals. Mohun Bagan SG won the final match of the Durand Cup 2023 with a narrow 1-0 victory. With this win, Mohun Bagan SG now has 17 Durand Cup titles under its name.
