Five New Sports added to the 2028 Summer Olympics

The 2028 Summer Olympics will take place in Los Angeles, USA. Five new sports are added to the tournament. These five sports are – baseball, cricket, flag football, lacrosse and squash.

Flag football and squash will be played for the first time in the Olympics, while the other games have been a part of it before. To understand the sports better, Squash is a racket-and-ball game played by two or four people indoors. In Lacrosse two teams of 10 use a long stick to score goals with a ball.

According to the committee members, these five games are added to show American sports culture to the world. Making these sports a part of the Olympics will help in bringing more people to watch the games. Before the 2028 Los Angeles games, the next Olympics is going to take place in Paris in 2024.
