The French Open is one of the main tennis tournaments of the Grand Slam tournaments, which is played annually. It is played over a period of two weeks and usually takes place between May and June. It is played at the Stade Roland Garros in Paris. France. The tournament is played on clay courts. The French Open is also known as Roland-Garros. Both the stadium and the game are named after a French aviation pioneer of the same name, who served the French Army during World War I. 

The French Open 2023 began on May 2 and went on till June 11. A variety of tennis matches were played during the tournament including singles, doubles, mixed doubles play, as well as junior and wheelchair matches. This was the 127th edition of the tournament. During the final match of the Men’s French Open 2023, Novak Djokovic played against Casper Ruud and the former won his 23rd Grand Slam title. With this accomplishment, Djokovic captured the World No. 1 Ranking spot. He surpassed Refeal Nadal, who has won 22 Grand Slam titles so far. 

Novak Djokovic also became the first man to win every Grand Slam Tournament three times. Rafeal Nadal could not participate in the French Open 2023 due to an injury, for the first time since he first started playing in 2005.
