G20 Summit Comes to an End

The 18th G20 Summit was held in Delhi on September 9 and 10. This was the last G20 (Group of Twenty) summit of the year. Leaders from all the 20 member nations participated in the G20 summit. The meeting was led by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Delhi took every step to ensure that the venue was clean before the G20 Summit. Around 1,000 sanitation workers worked in shifts to clean the roads and market areas.

At the end of the G20 summit, a declaration called the New Delhi Leaders Declaration was adopted by all the 20 members of the G20. The declaration contains the duties of the countries towards a better economic future. Some of the aims mentioned in the declaration are easy accessibility to healthcare and supplies and the reduction of harmful gases like carbon dioxide.

The 18th G20 Summit concluded with the African Union becoming a permanent member of the G20.
