ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 Trophy Launched Into Stratosphere

ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 Trophy Launched Into Stratosphere

The Cricket World Cup is held every four years. It is a One Day International (ODI) cricket championship organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC). This is one of the most anticipated cricket championships in the world. In the years preceding the World Cup, the 10 teams to participate in the World Cup are selected through a qualification phase.

This year, the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, between October 5 to November 19. The winner of the championship will receive the ICC Cricket World Cup Trophy, which was recently launched from space.

On June 26, the ICC World Cup Trophy Tour began. The trophy will tour 18 countries before the World Cup 2023 starts. It was launched about 120,000 feet above the surface of the Earth. All this was achieved using a stratospheric balloon to which the trophy was secured. Stunning high-resolution pictures were taken of the trophy floating in space.
