Incorporation of Apple Inc

The multinational technology company Apple Inc. was founded on the 1st of April 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne. Forty-seven years ago today, on the 2nd of January, the company was turned into a corporation.

In 1967, college dropouts Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak started the company under the name of Apple Computers in Job’s garage. Ronald Wayne was an initial part of the company but decided to leave it just twelve days after its foundation.

Job’s and Wozniak’s vision was to create a user-friendly computer that was small enough to be used by people in their homes and offices. Their first product was the Apple I, a computer designed and hand-built entirely by Wozniak. It was followed by the Apple II, which became a commercial success. On 2nd January 1977, Jobs and Wozniak incorporated their company in California.

Soon, Apple became a game-changer in the field of electronics. For the next three decades, Apple continued to sell personal computers such as versions of Apple II and Macintosh. The name of the corporation was changed to Apple Inc. in 2007. The iPhone, a touchscreen mobile phone introduced in 2007, was one of the world’s most successful products, and the company continues to release its new versions to date.

In 2018, Apple Inc. became the first company to have a value of one trillion dollars. Currently, it is one of the largest technology companies in the world. It continues to play a significant role in shaping the computer and consumer electronics industries.
