India defeats England by 100 Points

The Indian cricket team secured their sixth win in the World Cup 2023 matches, defeating the England Cricket team by 100 points. The match occurred on the 29th of October at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. 

Batting first, the Indian team captained by Rohit Sharma scored 229 for 9. And while defending, India bowled out England’s team with a score of 129 in 34.5 overs. Rohit Sharma scored 87 and became the man of the match.

Within the first ten overs of England’s batting, they lost the wickets of Dawid Malan, Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root and Ben Stokes. It was followed by the wicket of Jos Butlet in the 15th over, and Moeen Ali in the 25th over. At halfway down the innings, England were at 84/6. With a disappointing second half, England lost to India. 

In the 2019 World Cup, England won the Finals by defeating New Zealand. However, with only one win from six matches, they are in the lowest spot in the competition right now. India is now at the top of the table with 12 points.

In their next match, the Indian Cricket team will be playing against the Sri Lankan cricket team on Thursday, 2nd November. The match will take place in the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
