India wins 2023 World Cup Semifinal against New Zealand 

With a marvellous win, India became the first team to qualify for the 2023 World Cup Finals. The Indian Cricket team continued their winning streak by defeating New Zealand in the first semifinals by 70 runs. 

The match took place in Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai where India had won the 2011 Cricket World Cup Finals. Virat Kohli created history by scoring his 50th ODI century in this match. The 35-year-old was seen paying respect to the legendary Sachin Tendulkar after he broke his record of the highest ODI centuries. 

India scored 397 runs with the help of amazing batsmen such as Shreyas Iyer, Shubman Gill and others. While bowling, Mohammad Shami created magic by taking a historical seven wickets from the New Zealand team. Shami was declared the Man of the Match for his brilliant performance. 

The next Semifinals will take place between Australia and South Africa today. The winning team will play against India in the World Cup Finals in Narendra Modi Stadium on 19th November. 

In the 2023 event, the performance of the Indian Cricket Team won the hearts of 1.4 billion Indians. The semifinal match saw the entire country coming together and rejoicing in the tremendous win by the Men in Blue.
