India Wins the First-ever Para Cricket Tournament

The International Para Cricket Tournament was organised in India by the Differently Abled Cricket Council of India (DCCI). The Indian Physical Disability Cricket team won this tournament by defeating the team from England. The final match took place on 8th February. 

This tournament was hosted by the Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) under the assistance of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in Gujarat. Four out of the five matches were won by the Indian team. With a score of 4-1, India became the winner of the tournament.

The Secretary General of the Differently Abled Cricket Council of India (DCCI), Ravi Kant Chauhan said, “The hosting of the International Physically Disabled T20 Cricket Series marks a significant milestone for differently abled cricket in India.” This tournament provides a platform for the differently-abled cricketers of India to showcase their prowess in the game.
