India Wins the Asia Cup 2023

The Asia Cup is a cricket championship played between Asian countries. The championship started in 1983. It is played in one of two formats: One Day International having 20 overs or Twenty20 International cricket format with 20 overs. 

This year, we witnessed the 16th edition of the Super 11 Asia Cup. The matches were played in the One Day Internationals format. They began on August 30 and ended on September 17. The matches were played in Pakistan and Sri Lanka. This was the first time that two countries hosted the championship. 

There were six teams participating in the championship. They were Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Nepal. 

In the final match, India defeated Sri Lanka by 10 wickets and became the champions of the Asia Cup 2023. This was India’s eighth Asia Cup title.
