Indian Army to Set up Girls Sports Company

The Indian Army will soon open a Girls Sports Company (GSC), which will focus on young women athletes. The Army Sports Institute (ASI) has already started training some of the athletes and will start to recruit them soon. A total of 120 women athletes will be introduced in the company in 4 years. They will be trained to participate in international tournaments and the Olympics. For athletes in the age range of 10 to 16, recruiting will happen for 4 games, which are athletics, boxing, weightlifting and wrestling.
