India’s first MotoGP Grand Prix race

India’s first MotoGP Grand Prix race

India had its first MotoGP motorcycle race from September 22 to 24, 2023. It was a big milestone for Indian racing fans! The race happened at the Buddh International Circuit, which is located in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. This track is famous because it used to host Formula One car races from 2011 to 2013.
The race was incredibly exciting! It was won by an Italian rider named Marco Bezzecchi, who was on the Mooney VR46 Racing team. Since the weather was hot and humid, the race was made a bit shorter than usual. Instead of 34 laps, it was just 21 laps. Despite that, the total race was more than 107 kilometres! Marco Bezzecchi raced amazingly well. He finished the whole race in only 36 minutes and 59.15 seconds!
Since this first race was such a big success, it means India might have more races like this in the future. Racing at the Buddh International Circuit could become a big thing, and many fans will come to watch and cheer for their favorite riders. It’s like a new adventure in the world of motorcycle racing in India!
