India’s Longest Sea Bridge Inaugurated on 12th January 2024

On 12th January 2024, the longest sea bridge in India named Atal Setu was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This bridge is named after the former Prime Minister of India, Atal Bihari Vajpayee. It is also known as the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL). It is a 21.8 km long bridge that connects Navi Mumbai to South Mumbai.

The Atal Setu is built With 17 Times More Steel Than the Eiffel Tower! It is built specially so that it won’t get damaged due to natural problems such as earthquakes. 

The Atal Setu is currently the 12th longest Sea bridge in the world. PM Narendra Modi expressed his joy about India’s ability to make such wonderful structures. He called the Atal Setu one of the wonders of growing India.
