Ingenuity Comes to an End

NASA’s Mars Helicopter mission has completed its journey. This mission involved a small helicopter named Ingenuity, and its job was to study if humans could live on planet Mars. Ingenuity made history as the very first flying machine on a planet other than Earth!

Ingenuity was sent to Mars in February 2021. Ingenuity flew an incredible seventy-two times over almost three years. However, on January 18, 2024, during its 72nd flight, Ingenuity lost connection, and after a few days, it sent a picture showing that a part of it had broken off. 

The scientists at NASA are trying to study Ingenuity. They are trying to find a way to make a better version of this machine. With the information given by Ingenuity, they will be able to do so.
