International Anti-Corruption Day 2023

On 9th December every year, we celebrate Anti-Corruption Day around the world. Corruption is a very serious problem that is faced by almost every country in the world. The law of every country makes sure that every citizen gets the proper things necessary for their survival. However, many people bend the laws to help their own needs resulting in a country full of crime and increasing poverty rate. International Anti-Corruption Day is celebrated every year to fight against the evil of corruption and make every country corruption-free. 

In 2003, all the member states of The United Nations signed a treaty to fight against corruption. The authorities announced 9th December as International Corruption Day to raise awareness against corruption. In 2005, this day was celebrated for the first time. 

This day points out the connection between anti-corruption and the peace, security, and development of a country. People from every sector are encouraged to come together to fight the evils of corruption.
