International Anti-Corruption Day 2023

On December 9th, we celebrate Anti-Corruption Day worldwide. Corruption is a big problem in many countries. It happens when people break the rules to get what they want, leading to more crime and poverty. This special day helps us remember to stop corruption and make our countries better.

In 2003, all the countries that are members of the United Nations agreed to work together against corruption. They chose December 9th as the day to talk about it. In 2005, the first International Anti-Corruption Day was celebrated. 

This day points out how stopping corruption will help a country be peaceful and safe. Corruption needs to be destroyed for the development of a country. People from every sector are encouraged to join in and fight against corruption.
