International Day of Women and Girls in Science

Every year on February 11th, we celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. This day celebrates the achievements made by women and girls in the field of science. This day also tries to make sure that every woman and girl has a chance to take part in science.

It is important to involve women and girls in science. However, many problems are faced by women in this field. There are only a few women scientists in the world. They are given fewer chances and are paid less money than the men in this field. 

The United Nations is an important group that started celebrating this day in 2015. This year, an event is taking place in New York. In this event, female scientists will come together to discuss the importance of women and girls taking part in science.
