International Women’s Day

International Women’s Day

Every year on 8th March, we celebrate International Women’s Day around the world. On this day, we celebrate all the amazing things that women have done for the world. This year, the theme is “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress.”

The history of International Women’s Day dates back to the early 1900s when women in many countries began asking for their rights. Women’s Day was first unofficially celebrated in 1911. The United Nations announced March 8th as International Women’s Day in 1975.

On International Women’s Day, we are reminded that it is very important to provide equal opportunity to both men and women for the growth of our society. It is a day that asks people to take action and create a world where men and women are treated equally.
