English cricketer James Anderson became the first fast bowler in the history of Test cricket to take 700 wickets. This 41-year-old bowler also became the third cricketer to have taken 700 wickets in Test matches. The other two bowlers to have done this are Sri Lankan cricketer Muttiah Muralithan and Australian cricketer Shane Warne.

Anderson achieved this feat during the fifth Test match against India. It took place in Dharamsala, where Anderson bowled out Indian cricketer Kuldeep Yadav as his 700th wicket. The ongoing Test match with India is his 187th Test match.
