Japan Becomes the Fifth Country to Reach the Moon 

On January 20th, 2024, Japan became the fifth country to successfully land on the Moon. Some other countries that have achieved this are the United States of America (USA), China and India. 

The space agency in Japan is named the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA).  It successfully landed a spacecraft on the surface of the moon this Saturday. The spacecraft was given the nickname ‘Moon Sniper,’ and it did not have any astronauts on board. 

The goal of this space mission was to land a spaceship in a particular place. Japan’s moon landing is a big moment in history which shows the country’s scientific skills.
