Kandung Flori Village at Bengal Safari

Bengal Safari houses a vast variety of animals and plants. Recently, there has been a new addition of  “Kandung Flori Village” which was inaugurated a few days ago by the State forest minister, Jyotipriya Mallick. He was accompanied by other prominent members associated with wildlife and conservation of forests and wildlife.

The Flori village is an initiative made by the Kurseong forest division located in the Kandung Forest. Various flowers and plants will be grown and sold directly to the customers, eliminating the need for middlemen. The Kandung Flori Village was developed with the intention of increasing the income of farmers. A total of 135 species of plants will be sold at the Flori Village at Bengal Safari. Ornamental pots, plant equipment and media for plotting plants will also be present. All of these items can be bought from the sales counter of the Flori Village.
