Korea Open 2023

The Korea Open is a badminton tournament held in South Korea, every year. The championship was established in 1991. Earlier this tournament was known as Korea Open Super Series. In 2018, the Badminton World Federation (BWF) declared the Korea Open as part of the BWF World Tour Super 500 events. The Korea Open is organised by the Badminton Korea Association, in accordance with the BWF.

The 2023 Korea Open tournament was held in Yeosu, South Korea, at the Jinnam Stadium. It was scheduled between July 18 to 23, 2023. The tournament had several events such as men’s singles and doubles, women’s singles and doubles and mixed doubles. The championship saw massive participation from players from all around the world. 

In the finals of men’s doubles, Indian players Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty emerged victorious against Indonesian duo Muhammad Rian Ardianto and Fajar Alfian. The Indian duo won the Korea Open 2023 in the men’s doubles event. Although the Indian team lost the opening match of the final 17-21, they won the other two matches 21-13 and 21-14. The duo had previously won the Swiss Open 2023 and the Indonesia Open 2023. This was their third BWF World Tour title win this year.
