Message in a Bottle: Send your Name to Jupiter’s Moon 

The National Aeronautics and Space Organisation (NASA) is inviting people to send their names to Jupiter’s Moon named Europa. The Europa Clipper Spacecraft is scheduled to launch next year in 2024. It will study the icy moon of Jupiter named Europa to learn if it can support life. NASA has presented us with an out-of-the-world experience, where we can send our or our loved ones’ names to be written on a chip that will be sent to the space mission. 

The campaign is named “Message in a Bottle”. Almost 22 lakh names have been added to the list since July. People can submit names through a form on the NASA website till 31st December. After that, the names will be added to a metal plate where the poem by Ada Limon named “In Praise of Mistery” will be written. 

Europa has a vast ocean of liquid under its icy shell, which scientist believes can support alien life. This exploration will help scientists understand the possibility of life beyond our planet, Earth.
