Milano and Cortina 2026 Unveils Mascots Milo and Tina

The Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games that will take place in the Italian cities of Milano and Cortina in 2026 unveiled their new mascots- two stoat siblings named Milo and Tina. To choose the official mascots of this upcoming event, the Italian Ministry of Education asked local school students to submit their ideas for a mascot. A public poll was conducted to select these two out of 1600 entries. The decision was announced on February 7th.

Tina and Milo are two stoat siblings. Stoats are mainly found in the northern regions of North America and are closely related to weasels. Out of the two siblings, Tina is the official mascot of the Olympic Winter Games 2026, and Milo is the mascot for the Paralympic Winter Games 2026. They are named after the cities where the events will take place- Tina is short for Cortina, and Milo is short for Milano.

According to the official website of the Olympics, Tina is a creative art lover who loves to experience shows and concerts. She believes in one’s power to transform themselves. She uses the phrase “Dream big.” Milo, on the other hand, is a goofy dreamer who loves joking around, playing in the snow and inventing new musical instruments. Even though he was born without a paw, he taught himself to walk by using his tail. His free spirit is captured by this phrase he uses “Obstacles are trampolines.”

In the 2026 Winter Olympics and Paralympics in Milan and Cortina, the duo of Milo and Tina will be joined by six little snowdrops. They have been named the ‘Flo,’ and they will help Milo and Tina to highlight this event’s fun and joy.
