Mumbai Wins Ranji Trophy After Eight Years

In India, we have a special cricket competition that takes place every year. It is called the Ranji Trophy. Here, cricket teams from different parts of India play against each other. In 2024, the Ranji Trophy competition ended on 14th March. The Mumbai cricket team won this competition! 

The Mumbai team played against the Vidarbha team from Maharashtra. The final match took place in the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. 

The first Ranji Trophy competition took place in 1935. In total, the Mumbai team has won the trophy 42 times! Did you know that they had won this trophy eight years ago? Back in 2016, they also won this trophy.
