Narendra Modi’s Visit to the US

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently on a trip to the US. He was invited to attend a state dinner with the US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jil Biden. The dinner took place on June 22, 2023. About 400 people were invited. Many famous personalities attended the dinner. The dinner was organised to honour Narendra Modi. 

On the first day of his visit to the United States, he attended the 9th International Day of Yoga celebrations at the United Nations headquarters in New York. He also met some famous people like Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

On June 22, Narendra Modi was welcomed to the White House. A discussion between Joe Biden and Narendra Modi took place. The two political leaders exchanged gifts. PM Modi presented a big and expensive green diamond to First Lady Jill Biden. 

Modi also gave a speech to the US Congress. He spoke about several issues, such as terrorism and India’s political relations with the US. He received 15 standing ovations during his speech.

Narendra Modi will be in the United States till June 24.
