National Cinema Day 2023

National Cinema Day is a special day celebrated in India every October 13. It is a day to honour and enjoy India’s film industry. 

This idea began in 2022 when movie theatres reopened after COVID-19 lockdowns. To mark the occasion, ticket prices were reduced, and lots of people went to the movies. 

This tradition continued in 2023 on October 13. On this day, movie ticket prices are low across the country. National Cinema Day lets us appreciate the talented people behind the movies we watch and enjoy, such as the filmmakers, actors, and writers. 

People celebrate this day by discussing and watching movies. In some places, films from different parts of India, are shown. This helps people to value movies from other cultures.
