National Energy Conservation Day 2023

National Energy Conservation Day 2023

Every year on December 14th, we celebrate National Energy Conservation Day in India. What is energy? Energy is the power that makes things work. There are many sources of energy such as the sun, wind and other natural and man-made resources.

It is important to save energy and to use it smartly. We can save energy by turning off lights when not needed and using devices that spend less energy. It’s about using resources carefully to make sure that there is enough left for the future.

In 1991, the Ministry of Power started giving awards to people who are good at saving energy. Since then, December 14th is known as the National Energy Consumption Day. The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) holds a special event every year where awards are given to people making a positive change.

This year, the National Energy Conservation Day 2023 function will take place in Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. President Draupadi Murmu will address the crowd and present awards to the winners. We can celebrate this day by learning more about how to save energy in our daily lives.
