National Inter-State Athletics Championship 2023

The National Inter-State Athletics Championship is a tournament in which athletes from different states of India participate. There are different events played at the National Inter-State Athletics Championships, such as race walk, javelin throw, running and more. 

The National Inter-State Athletics Championship 2023 started on June 15 and will come to an end on June 19. The championship is being held at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha. This is the 62nd edition of the championship. 

Athletes who perform very well at this championship will be selected to participate in the three major international sporting events, which are the Asian Games, the biannual Asian Athletics Championships and the World Championship. The Athletics Federation of India (AFI) has made it compulsory for athletes to participate in the inter-state athletics meet if they want to participate in the Asian Games. The only two exceptions are the excellent javelin thrower, Neeraj Chopra and runner Vinash Sable.
