Srinivasa Ramanujan was an Indian mathematician who lived during British Rule in India. Born on December 22nd, 1887, he had almost no formal training in pure mathematics. He has made great contributions in the field of mathematics. Many of his brilliant mathematical formulae are yet to be proved by mathematicians.
We celebrate National Mathematics Day on 22nd December to recognise Srinivasa Ramanujan’s extraordinary contribution. Mathematics is involved in our day-to-day life. Starting from managing money, preparing food, playing sport everything needs logical thinking and calculation.
Mathematical knowledge also helps us in understanding the concept of other subjects like science, music, and art. We see that people are not much interested in mathematics as they find it too hard to understand. But It can help the world become a better place.
